![]() ![]() One that I thought tasted most like the Painkiller at the Soggy Dollar (home of the Painkiller) went like. One taste and voilà! We were hooked! These things truly could kill the pain! Slightly sunburned and in no pain at all, we caught the ferry back to St. I googled painkiller and got a ton of recipes. No – we really had to get back to the ship…. The Painkiller cocktail is made with rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut, and is known for its refreshing and fruity flavors. What – 4 shots of rum? In each drink? We wussed out and ordered our Painkillers with a measly 2 shots each (hee, hee) knowing that we had to be able to find our way back to the ship or else risk being stranded on this beautiful piece of paradise – Hmmm. Ingredients 2-ounces (60 ml) Pussers Rum 4-ounces (120 ml) pineapple juice 1-ounce (30 ml) orange juice 1-ounce (30 ml) cream of coconut Freshly grated. Our waiter that day eagerly obliged when we ordered our first Painkiller and asked if we wanted that with 2, 3 or 4 shots of rum. John, but we’ll always have fond memories of our first Painkiller experience. One person, however, recommended making a stop at Pusser’s before catching the ferry in Cruz Bay, to try a Painkiller. Reserve 1/2 cup of the marinade, pour the remaining marinade into a large baking dish, add the tenderloin and turn to coat. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, first add the first four ingredients and shake. A delightful blend of Pusser's Rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut, served on the rocks with an orange slice and a cherry, then topped off with freshly grated nutmeg. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. ![]()
